  1. Love this drive. 4tb of space is way more than i could ever fill and at a value like this it is more than worth it. To answer a common question: Yes, you can plug this into a USB 2.0 port and it will work just fine. The drive is powered by an external power supply, not by USB. The power supply is of an average sized “wall wart” style, and comes with adapters for just about every country imaginable (yes, including the US and Canada). Traveling for my job i have to really watch where i can plug anything in. Interestingly the drive itself powers down when no USB connection is detected. This is good because in theory it should shut off when you turn your computer off. It doesn’t have its own power switch, but there’s no need for one!

  2. This is definitely something to get. I don’t have it, admittedly, but I have one coming in the mail. It’s really big. Like, I don’t think I’d ever be able to fit enough garbage files into this thing to fill up an entire 4TB. My laptop has maybe 700GB of space and even that’s not half full, yet I’ve had this laptop for at least 2 years. That just shows how inefficient I am at actually filling up things like this. :p That drive will be an asset I can make use of for a very very long time. Either that, or until I just get a bigger, better one in the future.

  3. 4TB is an impressive amount of space. This is great for storing pictures and videos which take up so much space. I also like the size of this external hard drive. It looks like it won’t take up too much space on a desk, and it looks portable enough for travel.

This would definitely be something I’d be interested in buying, because I’m always short on storage space. Whenever I buy a 1TB drive, it’s usually full within a month. It’s my fault that I let it happen, but because I prefer downloading things rather than streaming, it all adds up.

I’ve only got 240GB on space on my MacBook’s SSD, which filled up quickly, and so did the 1TB drive also in this computer. One of the 4TB drives will definitely help with storage, as I can get a lot of this stuff off here and onto a harddrive big enough for it. It looks fairly portable and sleek too, which is a plus!

  5. I would love to have that laptop you reviewed, with the three usb ports, and three of these. The storage would be amazing :D. I didn’t even know they made them in 4tb size. I definitely need one of these. I hope to own one of these soon!

Also, still a big fan of the writing style. Not every review has to be five paragraphs long. Got to love short, sweet, and to the point! 🙂
