I bought Samsung 3TB D3 Station External Desktop Hard Drive as additional memory, the 3TB and I am fully satisfied .

Basically, a review , especially with an external hard drive , just a snapshot .
The manufacturer installed not always the same disk and it may clear differences
enter ” same ” product between the .

The hard drive runs very quietly and without much vibration. Of course, the rotation produces a
Natural vibration of the ext. Drive, but this is absolutely minimal.
A 3.5-inch disk simply has more mass than a 2.5-inch drive and is increasingly
Generate vibrations . This plate is so quiet that it does not in normal use
is heard. Long-term use is thus possible to what you do not from any external 3.5-inch drive
can claim .

The cable is of connector end to connector end exactly 82cm long. For use as additional memory
So completely adequately dimensioned. Had ever so short cables that the hardware front of the computer
dangling in the air.

Some writing here is not a Samsung panel but a Seagate.
On the case is “Manufactured by Seagate Technology LLC” .
This is not a misnomer as one might think . Seagate has the Samsung hard disk drive business
bought . Thus everything in the green zone .

  1. Very descriptive review, thank you! I was trying to find out how much noise this drive made, because I’m looking to use this in a living room media center and thus noise is a pretty important factor to me. It’s a real relief to know that it’s pretty silent.

It’s also pretty interesting to learn how Seagate is a part of Samsung (if I understood correctly). I didn’t know that, so thanks 🙂

  2. This is an awesome product. 3 terabytes says it all!

It’s important to have a backup drive. It keeps your files safe and this product does it for you. 3 Terabytes can save you a lot of stress.

  3. This seem like a great option for a backup drive. Three terabytes is enough for most households to have multiple backups without running out of space, plus, according to the review, it is a quiet drive so you won’t even know it’s there! Samsung and Seagate are some of the biggest names in the business as well, so you can be assured that this drive is high quality and has good manufacturer support.

  4. I have an external hard drive at home that I use to store music, movies, pictures, documents, or anything I can get on it. I bought it a couple of years ago on Tax free day and it has not given me any problems. I believe this one will do good as well, especially since it is Samsung. Samsung is one of the top brands to buy no matter what it is. Their name along means quality in my experience. I like that it runs quietly without much vibration. Some external hard drives sound like a train is hidden in the room.

This is a great bang for your buck. It’s made by a trustworthy brand and that’s what matters in this day and age. Its got quite a lot of storage for the price relative to competitors. I actually have one of these myself and it has lasted me quite a while without a single problem. I can’t say enough about how solid the hard drive is.

I am looking into getting an external hard drive. I have a western digital hard drive in my computer but I no longer have enough space for all my files. I don’t think that I would need 3TB but I would like a product like this.

  8. This looks like a good choice for an external hard drive. I really like it when they run quietly. And 3TB should be more than enough for my back-up and storage needs.

As someone else pointed out in the comments, backing up your stuff is really, really important! I once bought an external hard drive for back-ups, and boy was I upset when I discovered it had failed. Of course, I only discovered that when my computer went down. So don’t forget when you’re backing up to check your external hard drive from time to time and make sure it’s actually doing what you think it is.
